Christmas in Nebraska

We are in Nebraska celebrating Christmas. Everyone is having fun. Probably not taking enough pictures but here are a few:

The Christmas Story

-
Our first Christmas gift celebration of the year was at home on Tuesday night. I read the Christmas story from a pictured book we received that had combined the various accounts of Jesus birth into a seamless story. Unfortunately they used the King James version so I had to do some on-the-fly paraphrasing so it would make sense. It's been a while since I've seen King James and was again thankful for modern scholars taking the time to dig back into the historic scrolls and translate new, more accurate, versions of the Bible.

Happy Birthday Grandma (Mom)

Tomorrow is "Grandma Judy's" birthday. The girls have been excited about it all week. Before Tina and I left for a Sunday School party we enjoyed a cake and the girls had a present ready.

it took everyone to blow out three candles?

St Nicks ornament gallery

Tammy and Paul told us about a store that puts many people into the Christmas spirit, St Nicks. There is room after room of Christmas trees with ornaments. We had a great time and bought a fitting ornament for each of our kids.

Elliana with Uncle and Aunt

While I could give Tammy a hard time about cutting off our heads; nobody cares about us in this picture anyway...

Playing Cards - how long has it been?

Tina and I have escaped to Denver to see our new Niece Elliana. What a baby, not only did she go to sleep no problem, her parents weren't too worn out to play cards with us; something we haven't done in a while

Abby dressed for Christmas

Abby had her Pre-school program on Thursday. Here she is all dressed up.

First (real) snow of the season!

Yeah! It's snowing today! We were all suited up to head to church this morning and I couldn't find the boys....until I noticed the back door was open! They had escaped to go play in the snow.

Dinner with Barbie

The girls found just the right table for dinner tonight. Even the Barbies posed for the picture!

Abby sings Away in a Manger

Christmas programs have begun. The boys were all dressed up to sing but decided they didn't like it as the show began. One song from Abby:
